Single Stage Shear Pump
The UTL high shear mixer single stage dispersing machine is equipped with a high flow mixing tool that provides moderate shear for general pupose blending and homogenizing processes. The 2P generator can also be used for materials that are shear sensitive, or particles that are too large to process in traditional high shear mixing tools.
The SHEAR PUMP is a high quality, high shear dispersing machine, specifically designed for in-line use. The unit is used to create emulsions and suspensions in a production environment. A variety of motors are available, as listed on the model number designation page. All parts coming into contact with the dispersing medium are made of 316 stainless steel. A variety of generator options are available for an array of application requirements.
This small size reactor is especially suitable for circulation of emulsions and lightly abrasive suspensions. It is likely to be used for smoothening of shear sensitive products like e.g. yo-ghurt.
In series the reactor is equipped with a single acting mechanical seal so that conveying pressures of up to max. 10 bar may be applied. The reactor is working nearly soundless, which makes its use especially comfortable in laboratories and small rooms.
Mixing and shear pumping for high flow capacity at low shear stress. Especially suitable for circulation of big storage tank volumes in order to avoid sedimentation or separation. In series the shear pump is equipped with a single mechanical seal. It is also suitable for operation under medium pressure. If a suitable material is chosen for the seal even abrasive media can be pumped and mixed.
HED-Reactor
A low-shear-machine for quantities from approx. 2.500 to 60.000 l/h, suitable for smoothing,after-homogenizing and conveying of shear-sensitive products.HED 2000

Single Stage homogenizers provide high throughput capabilities and superior mixing results. The IKA HED 2000 is excellent for de-agglomerating, dispersing, emulsifying, blending, disintegrating and homogenizing.

Applications
The UTL is a single stage dispersing machine used for the production of emulsions and suspensions requiring a coarse to medium particle size with a narrow distribution. A wide variety of rotors-stator combinations (generators) are available for adapting the machine to the application.
The UTL maintains a constant tip speed, no matter what the machine size, ensuring scalability. A wide range of options is available on the motor, base, materials of construction, and more. The ULTRA-TURRAX has high quality surface finishes for easy cleaning, and the machine is self-draining and CIP capable
