  Does IKA forward received information?
Information on our customers is important to us and helps us to optimise our offer. It is however not part of our business to sell this customer information. We only forward the received information to third parties to the extent described as follows:
  • Affiliated companies: Affiliated companies controlled by IKA and their affiliates, provided that they are subject to this privacy policy or comply with guidelines offering at least as much protection as this privacy policy. In case a contact falls into the responsibility of the affiliates in question it will be forwarded to the respective affiliate. Addresses will of course not be sold on by IKA.
  • Sales agents with whom IKA co-operates: Our sales department works in close co-operation with selected sales agents. In some cases a contact falls into the responsibility of the respective agent. In such cases contacts will be forwarded to the respective and authorized agent. Addresses will of course not be sold on by IKA.
  • Service providers: We commission other companies and individuals with the fulfilment of tasks for us. Examples include parcel delivery, mailings of letters or emails, the processing of payments (credit card, direct debiting system and purchase on account) as well as customer service. These service providers may have access to personal information provided that these are necessary for the fulfilment of their tasks. They may however not be used for other purposes. In addition, they are obliged to handle such information in accordance with this privacy policy as well as the German data protection laws.
  • Protection of IKA and third parties: We disclose customer accounts and personal data on customers on condition that we are legally obliged to do so or if such disclosure is necessary to assert our general terms and conditions or other agreements or our rights, as well as the rights of our customers and those of third parties. It is explicitly made clear in this context that there will be no forwarding of data for economic use that contradicts this privacy policy.
  • With your consent: In all other cases we will inform you if we intend to forward your personal information to third parties so as to allow you to give your consent.
How safe is information about me?
  • In order to protect your information during the transfer in the web shop we use Secure Sockets Layer Software (SSL). This software encodes the information sent by you.
  • When confirming your order we disclose only the first and the last digit of your credit card number. As a matter of course, we transfer the full credit card number to the competent credit card company while we process the order. Credit card data will always be transferred encoded.
